With 99 confirmed local leaders in Brazil and 108 cities in the world, the initiative has become the world's largest collaborative creativity festival.

Part of the official UN calendar since 2017, the date is officially celebrated on April 21st.

108 cities around the world have already confirmed participation in World Creativity Day 2020. In Brazil alone there are 99 cities in all 26 states and the Federal District, including all state capitals. There are nine confirmed cities around the world, in six different countries, five in Europe, three in Asia and one in Central America.

World Creativity Day is a global community bringing together educators, social entrepreneurs, business leaders, technologists, policy makers, researchers and other agents of change to promote and connect initiatives to specific and actionable challenges on creative skills, innovation development, sustainability and economic and social aspects.

This year, the event is in its 5th edition and will take place on April 21st and 22nd with the goal of reaching 150 cities, 20 countries, 120,000 participants and 3,000 free activities including lectures, roundtables and workshops on art, innovation, economics, technology, education, business, and other creativity affairs.

The WCD is led by São Paulo entrepreneur Lucas Foster, founder of ProjectHub, creator of the Creative Brazil Award and one of the leading references in creative economy in the country.
